Substance Dualism includes any theory of consciousness that includes something other than normal or physical matter, that is responsible for our experiences - or what our spirits are made of. Both Property Dualism and Substance dualism agree on the nature of the 'causal properties' which initiate any perception process, and about what we can know about such. We also agree that phenomenal qualities are the final result of a perception process. Where the to differ is Property Dualism thinks these phenomenal qualities are of something in our brain, while substance dualism says there is some spiritual or higher dimensional stuff which has or is responsible for these properties.
