Mind is an illusion, created by the brain, in order to simplify the control of a complex processing system that is self-programming. Many of the mysteries of the experience of the mind, can be explained as simplifying illusions, necessary to implement a specific Architecture of processing using processing elements based on nerve cells.
Attempts to explain the Brains function using the Experience of Consciousness as a guide are misguided, because the illusions are seamlessly integrated into perception. As a result, the illusions overcome the reality, in phenomenal attempts to explain the brain.
Part of the problem is that it is the assumption of identity, that creates the impression that you can work back from experience to the mechanisms of the brain, where in reality you need to work forwards from the mechanisms of the brain, to learn about the illusions that are required to explain the mind.
