Budweiser recently partnered with transgender spokesperson, Dylan Mulvaney. Despite being the number one selling beer, Alissa Heinerscheid wanted to update the brand to be more “inclusive.” She continued that the brand is to “fratty” and out of touch.
Sales of Bud Light plummeted. The latest sales data from NielsenIQ and Bump Williams Consulting shows that Bud Light sales fell 17% in dollars, while volume dropped a whopping 21% in the week ended April 15. Coors Light and Miller Lite are up 18%.
It’s an important lesson, when you insult your customer base, they’ll walk away.
Corporations should stick to manufacturing and selling their product, not preaching woke ideologies.
