Camp Statement
Go live Time :

I would argue that the "hard problem" of consciousness has its origin in the assumption of the metaphysical duality; but that the assumption of the metaphysical duality is, itself, a thought which originates in the thought of the 'thinker'.
The thought of the 'thinker', however, is not the origin of the normal or 'classical' human consciousness.
Rather, the origin of the 'classical' consciousness, which *thought* itself into existence by 'thinking' the thought of the 'thinker', is the 'movement' of self-reflection which occurs prior to the thought of the 'thinker'.
It is this 'movement' of self-reflection which curves space itself into a 3-dimensional 'curved' space in which the 'classical' consciousness exists, but only at the very instant of self-reflection; and it is through the postulation of the thought of the 'thinker' that this 3-dimensional 'curved' space consciousness is maintained over time through the postulation of the thought of the 'thinker'.
In other words, it was the 'movement' of self-reflection which fractured reality into an "observed" and an "observer" and a "subjective" and an "objective".
Thus, the postulated existence of the "hard problem" is merely the re-assertion of the metaphysical duality, which is at the foundation of the scientific method and Western philosophy itself.
And realizing that the "hard problem" is an illusion originating in self-reflection then necessitates the development of a new paradigm of consciousness with a greater range of applicability (Kuhn) than the scientific method, and within which the study of the 'classical' consciousness is a 'special case' (Kuhn, Einstein) of the "observing consciousness", which exists as a 2-dimensional 'flat' space consciousness prior to the consciousness originating in self-reflection and the thought of the 'thinker' which established the foundations of the scientific method in the first place.
