The idea of “utopia” has been ridiculed by philosophers and religionists alike, and much of modern literature and punditry focuses on the inevitability of dystopia or apocalypse. A utopian future would be preferable, whether or not it is possible. There is a great deal of tension between different ideas as to how utopia can be achieved. We are interested in exploring the legal, technological, moral, theological, and governmental ideals necessary to make a utopia a reality.
