Gay marriage has been legal in all of the United States since the Supreme Court issued its decision in the case of Obergefell v. Hodges on June 26, 2015. Reversing this decision would prove difficult, as it would require the federal government to nullify thousands, if not millions, of existing marriages. Gay marriage, regardless of any personal preferences, is here to stay.
