The Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms is an individual right, not a group right. But like any other right, it is not absolute.
Just as you cannot yell "fire" in a crowded theatre and expect First Amendment protection for your lie when there is no fire, you cannot expect to wield a firearm with absolutely no government regulation whatsoever. After all, the amendment itself includes the phrase "well-regulated militia," suggesting that some level of regulation is appropriate and justified.
