Topic: Transhumanist Disorder

Camp: Agreement / Peter Pan Syndrome

Camp Statement Go live Time :

Many transhumanists create a shell of make-believe to shield themselves from a deep-seated fear of death. Their denial of mortality is evident in the themes of transhumanist thought: cryogenics, nanotechnology, uploading consciousness into non-biological mediums, and various other immortality inducing technologies. The transhumanist escapes into a technological imaginary located in some nebulous future, thereby postponing their inevitable confrontation with oblivion. Thus, transhumanism is not a rational philosophy, but an irrational delusion based in fear.
