Hello supporters of camps in the Theories of consciousness topic: https://canonizer.com/topic/88-Theories-of-Consciousness/1 and welcome to Canonizer 2.0. With this thread post, We;re proposing some significant changes to the camps many of us support. We now have a professional science editor that is helping us clean up some of the camps. We are going to propose rewritten versions of the agreement, representational Qualia, and Mind Brain Identity camps, for starters In the 1.0 version of Canonizer.com, James Carroll abandoned the leading Consensus functional property dualism camp, to create the non dualist Representational Functionalism camp. Multiple other people and camps followed James in this change. I’ve also decided to make this same change, out of the Dualist supper camp, to support the mind brain identity camp. Given this, I believe the “Mind Brain Identity” camps, will then have more support to than the “Dualism” camps. In other words, instead of splitting “mind brain identity” between dualist and non dualist branches deserve to be at a higher level. We will make the MInd Brain Identity split, higher in the structure, pushing the dualists down to branches of mind brain identity and non mind brain identity branches. We’re documenting these proposed changes we are about to submit in this google doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11_KeXdyWSD_356xcd45t04F02jbHG6WsZClI4TNSEHM/edit?usp=sharing If there is any chance you will object to any of these changes, please review this document, and help us create a version of these changes everyone can agree on, before we go to the work to submit them. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Brent Allsop
