It seems the statement for this camp as been updated, based on my feedback.
However, there is still a request to sort things "chronologically." As I pointed out in my previous post, this makes no sense.
So, unless you provide more information about what you mean by this, there is no way to implement this.
There are many mistaken claims and assumptions made in this camp statement, starting with: “It is not supported by the support value” revealing the ignorance of the author. This is exactly the way the current system does work. Anyone can select their preferred canonizer algorithm (even some day one that filters stuff only supported by anti-social people) and things will be sorted by the values which that canonizer algorithm tallies. In other words, since it is already done this way, most of this first statement for this camp is asking for it to be done this way is a waste of effort and a waste of published canonizer google indexed content.
The additional recommendation that people have the option to sort them “alphabetically” is a good proposal, and I believe this should be retained in the statement.
The request for an ability to sort them “chronologically”
reveals the lack of understand of how canonizer works, and the current recommended usage
models. For example, if a very old topic
(or any of its camps) is recycled for a
new but completely different purpose, should those old recycled dates be used for whatever
this ‘chronological’ request is asking for?
So, if this requests remains, please provide a better definition of what
this means, given a better understanding of how canonizer works.
