Home Page

Overall the design looks good. Few observations though:

• The home page should have more dynamic elements like Trending Topics & Latest Topics. Right now the home page remains the same for the guest/logged in user all the time. We should have more dynamic information for the user landing onto the home page every time.
• The left section (Filter & Algorithm) should have more clarity about their usage. As a naive user, it is difficult to identify its usage right now.
• "Create New Topic" action button is not required for a guest user.
• "Namespace" area should have an information icon.
• Would it be good to have a "search"box under the namespace to easily find a topic under a namespace?
• Do we need a score here on home page?

Logged in View of Home Page

I feel that the home page should be customized for the logged in user. We would need to introduce a panel on the top which should have following elements. Rest of the elements should move down.

• Latest Activities (Notifications)
• List of supported camps which have been updated of late
• List of threads recently updated
• List of supported camps
• <more>

Home Page

Overall the design looks good. Few observations though:

  I think in the current website, the tree which is being displayed in the order of most Trending only. Regarding the Latest Topic, if we have to show that, then it will be 2 lists we have to display with the option to filter by namespace. Also, it will take more computation on the front end to get the latest topics. We have kept the same element right now because Brent has mentioned that we need to keep the things the same initially for Canonizer3.0 and later on we can enhance it.

  For the Filter information, there is already information available for Algorithm and Score Value in the design. We will add the info icon for As of filter options as well.

  We have added this button for the Guest users as Brent mentioned that he wants all the buttons to be displayed to the guest user as well and when the guest user will the click on it, we will take the person to the login screen.

  We have provided the search icon in view of all topic pages. Though we can add that search option here as well.

  I think Brent can better comment on this. As per me, I think we should display the scores because we have to calculate the score in any case as we are currently showing the topics in order of top support.
