Perl is dead!!!!!!!!

Well, not at all. At least Perl is not dead until there are Unix OS running in data centres 24/7 for years and years and years.

A non-Perl programmer always believe in rumors and dead Perl is very far from reality.

Still, there are plenty of websites and web applications developed in Perl. Booking.com, IMDB, Amazon (household website :) ) are one of the most popular sites developed in Perl.

The DuckDuckGo search engine is also implemented in Perl. ( :))

Perl Dancer, Perl Catalyst and Mojolicious are popular frameworks widely used in developing web based application and REST APIs.

It’s true that the popularity of the Perl has faded, but it is far from dead.
