The problem that many philosophers have with the representatinoal and real camp, is that phenomenal aspects of consciousness are not necessarily representative of the environment. However by the high prevalence of the phenomenal objections to the representational but real camp, at least in modern philosophical literature, it seems that this camp is setting itself up for failure. It might be consensus at the moment, but that is more due to a lack of proper elucidation of a consensus towards a more sophisticated point of view, one that recognizes that aspects of consciousness notably the phenomenal aspects might not be as representative as other aspects.
