Canonizer algorithm:
This section is a table of contents for this topic. It is in outline or tree form, with supporting sub camps indented from the parent camp. If you are in a sub camp, you are also counted in all parent camps including the agreement camp at the top. The numbers are canonized scores derived from the people in the camps based on your currently selected canonizer on the side bar. The camps are sorted according to these canonized scores. Each entry is a link to the camp page which can contain a statement of belief. The green line indicates the camp page you are currently on and the statement below is for that camp.
The World Transhumanist Association primarily due to the work of James J Hughes conducted several invaluable surveys about transhumanism in 2007 (currently in process), 2005, and before. These surveys included a set of 10 defining questions meant to indicate how much of a Transhumanist one was.
The purpose of this topic is to continue and extend this effort, making it more comprehensive and real time. Its purpose is to know how much of a transhumanist one is by their declarations of beliefs on these types of defining issues.
It is intended that a "canonizer" will be created that can be used to determine the value of one's support of various issues. In other words, what do "transhumanists", as defined by how people answer such a set of survey questions, think on all POV issues?
We believe having the ability to quantitatively know such will have great value when other transhumanists seek moral directions on critical issues they are still unfamiliar with.
It is intended that this will be a somewhat recursive refining process. If such a "canonizer" determines that a different set of defining issues, or answers to such, is better, this statement, and the resulting canonizer, will be altered accordingly. So all feedback on how to make this set of questions more definitive as to what is and isn't a Transhumanists, according to Transhumanists, is highly valued. I you see a possible way to improve it, submit such as a POV statement. If such a change clearly has sufficient support, this agreement statement, and the corresponding canonizer in the future, will be changed accordingly.
Here is the current sorted list of topics as valued by your selected Canonizer.
Supporters can delegate their support to others. Direct supporters receive e-mail notifications of proposed camp changes, while delegated supporters dont. People delegating their support to others are shown below and indented from their delegates in an outline form. If a delegate changes camp, everyone delegating their support to them will change camps with them.
